Formed by the merger of Borough of Enfield AC and Haringey AC. In 1965 Enfield Athletic Club (1920) and Ponders End Athletic Club (1922) amalgamated to form Borough of Enfield Harriers. In 1974 Southgate Harriers (1932) moved to White Hart Lane community sports centre in 1974 and was renamed Haringey & Southgate Athletic Club, which was later shortened to Haringey AC.
President of World Athletics, double Olympic 1500m champion, multiple world record holder at 800m, 1000m, 1500m and the mile was a member of Haringey AC.
