The athletes of the match awards have been named following the second round of the NAL season.

In the Premiership, Jake Norris’ (WSEH) 76.29m hammer throw in Woodford Green saw him pick up the men’s award, with his performance achieving a score of 1145 World Athletics points.

Hannah Brier is the female recipient following her 400m personal best for Swansea. Her time of 52.23s, was equal to 1118 points.

As for the Championship, Zara Obamakinwa’s discus lifetime best for Blackheath and Bromley was an NAL record.

Her throw of 61.87m achieved 1106 points and put her fifth on the UK all-time list. The male recipient in that division was Edward Laws of Herts Phoenix. His 400m Hurdles time of 51.29s achieved 1067 World Athletics points.

Each athlete is to receive £125 cash prize and a glass trophy.
