Male Athlete Awards

The National Athletics League presents an Athlete of the Year Award to the athlete who achieves the best track and field performance at National League fixtures.

Athletes must be from NAL member clubs and must have been declared as scoring athletes within the event. Award recipients are those who achieve the highest number of points for a single NAL event based upon Professor Mick Bromilow’s Event Scoring Table. Recipients were not eligible for NAL Divisional Athlete Awards.

In 2024, the Male Track Athlete of the Year is Tyri Donovan (Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow), for his league-record breaking 49.23-second 400m hurdles performance at Eton in June.

Jake Norris – of the same club – is the 2024 Male Field Athlete of the Year – having thrown the hammer 76.93 metres in Birmingham in August.
