How the new NAL bibs will look.

Tudo Sport to sponsor National Athletics League bibs

The National Athletics League has secured number sponsorship from Tudo Sport, an exciting new performance content and resource website designed with athletes specifically in mind.

Soon to be launched by England Athletics 110m hurdles champion Miguel Perera, Tudo Sport is one of a series of new partners to link up with the NAL for its second season.

As a regular competitor at the NAL and its predecessor, the British Athletics League, Perera is keen to lend support as the league prepares for its first summer of full competition following last year’s inauguration in a makeshift format due to the pandemic.

He said: “I think the National Athletics League is the foundation of domestic athletics. It’s a competition I want to see thriving more and more. The NAL held its ground at a time when athletics struggled due to the pandemic measures.”

Perera, who is also an athletics representative, added: “I often encourage athletes to compete at the NAL matches rather than go abroad because, ultimately, it’s part of supporting where it started for a lot of athletes, certainly is for me. I’ve been with my club, Harrow, since I was 10 or 11, like many athletes have. The fact of the matter is we can’t expect people to be fed into the system the same way we were if we don’t support the club competition at the top.”

NAL chair Len Steers added: “We are extremely excited to enter a new sponsorship partnership with Tudo Sport and hope that this new venture by Miguel and his team encourages our athletes to fulfil their potential as well as assist Tudo to grow and develop.”

Calling on the expertise of athletes such as world 400m hurdles semi-finalist Chris McAlister, world indoor heptathlon fourth-placed Holly Mills and GB 400m international Jamal Rhoden-Stevens, Tudo Sport will be a feature-packed platform “created by athletes, for athletes”. It will have multiple daily videos and articles covering the various disciplines, nutrition, strength and conditioning, injury and muscle care and athlete tips as well as a competition database with more than a thousand competitions across the world and a performance tool offering all sorts of analytics for performances.

Tudo Sport is set to officially launch this year on Wednesday June 1.
