Five National Athletics League matches this season will be live-streamed on Vinco, it has been confirmed.

The UK’s best known online athletics streaming service will cover the Premiership meetings in Manchester on May 7, Eton on June 4 and Copthall on July 2, plus the respective Premiership and Championship finals at Bedford on August 20 and 21.

As part of the newly launched Vinco Plus service, a £14.95 subscription will give followers of the league access to all five meetings. As well as being able to view the meetings live, they will be able to play it back afterwards or click on specific events to watch. You will also be able to purchase a day pass to trial coverage.

Vinco director Matthew Quine said: “We’re delighted to be working with the National Athletics League to offer the same high standard of coverage our users have come to expect. As someone who fondly recalls my BAL days doing 400m, 4x100m and 4x400m in the space of an hour, I recognise the importance of domestic league athletics. The subscription model is new for us at Vinco but it’s certainly not new to the sport and we believe it’s one that will work well for the league.”

NAL chair Len Steers added: “I am extremely pleased that the NAL will continue the partnership established by the British Athletic League with Vinco in 2022. The Vinco announcement is the latest in a series of positive developments for the league this season as the competition takes on the format closer to that originally intended when it took over from the established British Athletics League and UK Women’s League at the end of 2019 before the pandemic affected plans.

The OpenTrack platform will be used at NAL matches to facilitate live results and team scores, while it was also announced recently that Tudo Sport will sponsor athlete bibs.
