NAL announces team for Loughborough International

The National Athletics League is delighted to announce it’s team for the 2025 Loughborough International Athletics Meeting, this coming Sunday 18th May 2025.

Fastrax – providers of customised athletics clothing – will once again sponsor the team.

Sheffield and Dearne club Javelin thrower Joe Dunderdale will be looking for his seventh victory at the event, having taken top spot in 2014, 2016, 2018, 2021, 2022 and 2023.

His incredible record also includes coming second in 2012 and 2024.

The meeting is also timely ahead of the Sheffield club returning to the NAL Premiership for the 2025 season which begins on 31st May in Eton, with Joe among those who helped the side achieve promotion from the Championship last season.

The same can be said for his team-mate and reigning UK champion Chukwuemeka Osammor, who will do the discus in Loughborough.

Fresh from winning the British Universities’ 200m title in Manchester this month, Jasmine Wilkins (Thames Valley Harriers) is in the 100m and 4x100m line-ups.

She is joined by 2023 BUCS 100m winner Leonie Ashmeade (Sheffield and Dearne) in the individual event, while England champion Luke Dorrell (Blackheath and Bromley) will do the men’s 100m.

Commonwealth Youth Games silver medallist Bebe Jackson (Woodford Green and Essex Ladies) is one of the key para athletes selected. She is down for the 100m and long jump.

Jake Minshull (Birchfield Harriers) is selected as part of the 4x400m – an event he won gold for Great Britain and Northern Ireland in at the 2023 European under-20 Championships.

At the time of writing, some selections are still to be confirmed.

More information on the event can be found on the Loughborough University website.
